The Process for Ancestry Artistry
Easy steps to follow to order your Ancestry Artistry project:
1. Gather photographs of your ancestor(s), written material and special mementos that identify them, several are better than one. Consider using photos of pets, homes, vehicles, hair ribbons and whatever was near and dear to them. Don’t worry about photographs that have some scratches or dust spots. Photos can be black and white or color. For those in black and white check to see if there is a variety of grays and avoid those photos with large areas of white. In addition, you will want to collect other items such as letters, symbols, genealogy, DNA connections, family records, census records, locations, maps, names/nicknames, dates of birth and death and poetry that might have something to do with the ancestor. There are two ways to send your items to us: Scan the objects and photos at 300 dpi to fit an 8×10 inch area or send them registered mail using your preferred mail carrier. Contact us for final instructions and discuss your project using the Contact Page. You will pay for the artwork prior to its beginning and will have input into the final product as we go along.
2. Pick the size of your artwork and purchase your artwork by contacting us. Paypal is the usual payment method although others are possible. As an OPTION: you may select an object to be hand-drawn that you would like included in the artwork. Be sure to check the additional price.
3. Send or scan the items and selections you have made to the address given to you. Allow 6 weeks for the completion of the final product.
